How do I get my information into my docuMOP?
- It’s simple. Your docuMOP has a link at the bottom of every page called “Site Maintenance”. Click on this and the entry forms are right there for most types of information.
What if what I want to enter doesn’t fit one of your entry forms?
- The “Site Maintenance” link at the bottom of every page has an “other” category to allow uploading virtually anything?
I’d rather just have all the information on my home computer. Why have it at docuMOP?
- Great question and one of the real strengths of having a docuMOP. The information IS presented on your computer, IPAD, tablet or smartphone. Having it at docuMOP allows access even if your away from home or even in catastrophic events such as a home fire. Your docuMOP and home inventory is stored safely away.
Is it backed up at docuMOP?
- Yes your docuMOP actually exists both at docuMOP and at our cloud based storage.
We already do what docuMOP does, why have it?
- A) We hear this frequently but usually upon investigation find things aren’t so organized and accessible as one believes. For business does everyone know who is CPR trained on site? Your docuMOP can. For Life & Home the accessibility from anywhere and having everything in one location is a prime benefit. If you or your organization truly has accomplished this, great, most envy you. If your part of the 99% that don’t, docuMOP welcomes you to the 1% that will!
- B) At the low cost of docuMOP, how wrong can you be to ensure you do have everything together.
Gathering everything is overwhelming, why bother trying?
- Exactly the point of docuMOP. So many people feel overwhelmed usually by the little things that interfere. Once you start using your docuMOP you become less overwhelmed by having to recall the little (or big) things that eat away at your time. You will have a sense of relief.
I don’t think I (we) have the time to gather all the info to put into docuMOP. Can docuMOP help?
- We do with the easy input forms available at your “Site Maintenance” link. Our system is set up to take the burdensome part away. For those that still need further help outside parties can help or we at docuMOP can offer you field services to come and help gather data required.
Can docuMOP help me when I need to buy something new?
- Yes, in multiple ways. Our shared Library and docuMOP U both help. We will be building the shared resources as docuMOP grows. We’re also adding a bulletin board for all in the docuMOP community to share experiences with various pieces of equipment so all can benefit from the experience of other docuMOP users.
We have a new home and don’t need anything.
- Well,,, that is the best time to start your docuMOP. Some builders and realtors will provide docuMOP with the home. That is the best time to document what you have, how to do things and what suppliers and contractors were involved. And, as time goes on and warranty or service is done you can add those records into docuMOP.
I’m selling my home, why would I need a docuMOP?
- To help sell your home. Presenting so much information about what is in your home is an asset, just like the home itself. Providing the information provides comfort to the new homeowner and may actually be just what closes the sale!
I keep notes in other programs and formats, why use docuMOP?
- Storing documents and notes in any electronic format is a good thing. docuMOP brings a well thought out order so information can be found when you need it. Plus docuMOP includes behind the scenes support ensuring the electronic files don’t get disorganized as paper records in piles do. As the docuMOP community grows the shared resources become a helpful tool to all.
- Most alternatives are similar to a having one or more electronic shoe boxes full of documents. The electronic shoe boxes start with good intentions and hopes that searching will be eased but it is hard to pull that off over the long haul. docuMOP helps as an easy to use pre-organized filing system eliminating eventual electronic clutter that is the end result of most alternatives. docuMOP is with you in your goal of simplifying your life, not just providing you electronic shoe boxes.
